Ohhhh what a day!

ROAD TRIP!!!!!!

We all dog-piled (literally and the dog too) into the car w/our grill, our fishing poles and drove out past Jerkwater (yup, it's a real place). We kept right on going until we reached a town called Abbeville. We found a great lake and went to town fishing!

Whew it was a great time, but the trip it's self kinda sucked because of the map and the dog got .... car sick! A bit of advise ... never trust MAP QUEST 100%......The map told us to look for a certain highway and turn left. Unfortunately the map left out the part that there were about 8 roads on the left with THE SAME STINKING NAME! My goodness, it was literally a 'duh, which way do we go' moment!

We fished for a while, grilled out, took a hike and called it a day! The only person to catch a fish was the hubby! Here's a shot of the lake I took right before we packed up and headed back home. It was truly a gorgeous day!

Will He or Wont' He?

I sit here and wonder as my wedding anniversary nears, will he remember or wont he? It doesn’t really matter one way or the other if I get a gift, although I know I won’t. The one time he bought me a gift on our anniversary (back around the 1st or 2nd year), it was really because he had been such an ass towards me. He bought me a 20 gallon fish tank. Again, it’s not about the present, but about whether enough he REMEMBERS. I’ve even had to break it down for him and say mean stuff like, “wow … I knew it was an omen that our anniversary should fall right after a tragedy like 9/11”. This isn’t one of those milestone anniversaries; it’s number 9. Will he behave himself or will he have another ‘angry’ day. Just for giggles, I’m going to open a poll to see what you think. WILL HE OR WON’T HE?
